Swan River Rowing Club takes pride in the high standard of our coaching team

Jamie Jones (Head Coach)

Jamie is our full time professional Head Coach.  He has been an Australian representative (U23 1982, 1983) and coached several State and Australian national crews at Junior and Under 23 levels.  Jamie has recently been selected as the coach of the Australian Women’s 4- for the 2011 Junior World Championship.

Stephen Mann

Stephen is an experienced first VIII school coach and an Australian senior representative (1981–1983).  He heads up a Perth Modern Rowing Program.  Stephen is also Chairman of Selectors for Rowing WA and on the board of the Australian Selectors.

Mike Hinsley

Mike coaches many of under 19 and 23 members at the club. He has been a State coach for the last few years and this year is the WA Men’s Youth Cup Team Coach.  Mike is currently one of the club’s vice presidents and until 2011 the club’s captain.

Neville Kempton

Neville was Australian lightweight representative (1983) and a school first VIII coach.  Neville looks after a number of our junior rowers at the club.

Vanessa Grant

Vanessa is a our masters coach with a very successful history of school rowing coaching and coaching winning crews at the World’s Masters for Australia.

Joanna Lutz

Jo was an Olympian (2000 and 2004) and is an experienced first VIII school coach.

Jack Fischer

Jack is a top club rower and experienced club and school coach.  Jack is looking after our junior rowers.

Caed Marriott

Caed comes to our club via England where he coxed university crews at Cambridge and coached college crews at Oxford.  Caed is coaching our newer sub masters rowers.

Clark Taylor

Clark is one of our experienced club juniors coach.
